Sunday Adventures

This was probably the first sunday of the year where we didn't need to wear jackets to hangout outside, The sun was shining, and there was hardly a cloud in the sky. It's one of the days where you just let the sun sit on your skin and warm you after the cool breeze lofts by.

We were fortunate enough to encounter a small snake when we were walking to the waterfall, for such a small creature it moved incredibly fast and I had trouble capturing any photos of it. It has a very small red tongue and was hissing at as quite a bit.

Right behind the fields there is a small little dam that now we call the 'waterfall' its certainly nothing grand but its nothing short of wonderful. Its about 10ft high and you can walk across if you are extremely careful and have a helping hand. Watching and listening to the rushing water is mesmerizing- the water from here actually flows downstream and into the ocean.

I was really excited to see that the Daffodils have finally begun to blossom- Spring has sprung! There were so many in the woods and around the paths we were walking on.

Practice

We had a no-wind practice so while we waited for the wind to fill in I was lucky enough to take a few photos.
There were three seagulls on the dock, and I was able to get pretty close but as soon as I took this photo the birds flew away from me. As annoying as seagulls are, I think they are really fascinating. This one in particular had really unique eyes so I was glad to have gotten such a close shot.

Even though we had no wind, A few boats sailing out doing some intense roll-tacks.

I has never seen Bristol Harbor so calm.

39 Knots

Fortunately for me, I was sick the day the wind was blowing gusts up to 39 knots! Only two boats managed to get out, and only one of the two was actually able to sail. Andrew and Derek were determined to sail in the crazy conditions because they wanted to use their GoPros. I took advantage of the oppurtunity to get some fun action shots of the guys.

Nature Walk

Went on a walk around campus today. Trying to take pictures at school is very frustrating because its hard to find a perspective that someone hasn't already done. So I found it really challenging to take photos that had an interesting aura about them.
This photo is super disgusting but I thought the Algae was cool and I liked the color. I also think that a lot of kids would be too grossed out to get there cameras this close to the slime so my perspective of the rocks at the bay.

Paul accompanied me to the Bay and we climbed up the roof of the boat house, It was pretty high up but a fun time and a new way to look around.

I am pretty afraid of heights so I was surprised I didn't fall or slip or anything walking around on the roof.

I was really interested to see all the initials that were carved into the cement on the roof, I was wondering how long they have been there, and who put them there. I am sure they were hoping that people would see them and that was their way to leave their mark here.

This is probably the most photographed place on campus, and I know that this photo isn't anything special but I still love coming here to the "waterfall" because its a really calm place. I also love the water so why wouldn't I love it here?
